In Vietnam’s higher education system, there are hundreds of higher education institutions out of which 2 are national universities: Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU, HCM City) and 3 regional universities: Thai Nguyen University, Hue University and University of Danang. In 2015, Vietnam National University, Hanoi was ranked by “The QS World University Rankings by Subject” as the No. 1 university in Vietnam and among the top 139 Asian universities. Currently, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has seven member universities and 5 affiliated schools. VNU-International School (VNU-IS) is proud to be the first institution to offer undergraduate and graduate training programs entirely in foreign languages. VNU-IS has partnered with many prestigious foreign universities. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are awarded by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and its foreign partner universities. To date, VNU-IS has set up cooperation with nearly 40 foreign universities. In 2016, it was also the first in Vietnam National University, Hanoi to implement a program to attract scholars, whereby, many foreign professors have participated in teaching, conducting scientific research and technology transfer at the School. In July, 2002 VNU-IS began with only one training program in Russian, but over 15 years of construction and development, it has now designed and successfully implemented 10 undergraduate programs in English, such as Bachelor of International Business; Bachelor of Accounting, Analyzing and Auditing; Bachelor of Management Information System; Bachelor of Science in Management; Bachelor of Accounting; Bachelor of Informatics and Computer Engineering; the program: “Bachelor of Accounting, Analyzing and Auditing” which was originally conducted in Russian is now offered in English; the two programs: “Bachelor of Dentistry” and “Bachelor of Economics and Management” which used to be offered in French are now conducted in English. At the postgraduate level, VNU-IS is currently conducting a number of Master’s programs such as Master of Business Administration (MBA); Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA); Master of Finance, Banking, Insurance (Vietnam and Southeast Asia); Master of Marketing & Prospective; Master of Information Management (MIM); and Master of Finance Management. All of its training programs are accredited and all the degrees are recognized. Its training programs have been designed and constantly updated compatibly with advanced Vietnamese and foreign programs to meet the requirements of society, to enable students to work in a dynamic environment and to use foreign languages skillfully and integrate into the world. At the same time, they also create favorable conditions for students to continue to study or work abroad. Many short training courses on skills, practice as well as study tours, startups, linkages with the community in a framework of cooperation between VNU-IS and local, foreign companies, corporations have been very effectively conducted. In addition, many non-governmental organizations have annually coordinated with VNU-IS to carry out projects on financial support for books, scientific journals, laboratory equipment, practices, and for joint organization of conferences and seminars. At VNU-IS, teaching and learning are implemented entirely in foreign languages with the regular participation of nearly 100 lecturers and professionals from many countries, thus creating highly integrated modern, dynamic and innovative learning, research, and working environments.
