Since the 2008-2009 academic year, gives the ESDI Degree Official University Degree in Design as a center affiliated to the Universitat Ramon Llull, following the guidelines established in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). This is a fact of great importance that will, once graduated, the designer can access higher education: Masters and PhD, and national and international labor market on equal terms to other degrees. Thus, ESDi - URL has become the first Spanish university to offer official undergraduate studies in design in all its forms: Graphic Products, Interior, Fashion, Design and Management of Audiovisual (Multidisciplinary Integration) . Offered a total of 140 seats. Also, the center has been a pioneer in teaching postgraduate studies in design, in particular giving an Official Master that opens the door to the Doctorate in Design. ESDi structure their teaching in different units Teaching and Development of Knowledge (UDDC) and Unit Testing and Application (UAE). The center combines teaching, knowledge transfer and dissemination research. Since 2012 the center has a research approved by the Ramon Llull University (URL): The Tadd, Theory, Analysis and Design Development .
