This degree qualifies for the regulated profession of Forestry Engineer in the specialities of Forestry Holdings and Forest Industries, with all professional responsibilities recognised by law. This Degree is recognised at European level as it is adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The extraordinary wealth and productive potential of forests nationwide, and in particular in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, and their importance for the economy and rural development in the region, demand experts in this speciality, with the mission to defend and make the most of, in a sustainable way (according to environmental, social and economic criteria) the very different products and services that can be generated by forests, and to optimise their processing.
