The Automotive Engineering Department was established in 2016 to train qualified engineers for the automotive sector, among the leaders in our country’s exports. After graduating from our department, our students will be able to take the success of the sector further and to immediately meet the needs of the industry. Automotive engineers can work in many departments such as production, product development, sales and marketing, after-sales, as well as quality control in automotive factories and sub-industries. The main research topics of Automotive Engineering are internal combustion engines and conventional as well as alternative fuels that provide energy to these engines; new systems such as fuel cell, hybrid and electric motor vehicles; design, modeling and simulation of vehicles; materials to be used, production methods and security systems.
