The Sociology Master's program started to accept students in the academic year of 2017 spring term. In the Department of Sociology, the following topics are focused on qualitative research methods: Debates in the social sciences, current theories, modernity, globalization, development policies, poverty, politics, religion in Turkey, society and politics, gender problems, cultural studies, sociology of the body, urban regeneration, social deviation, and crime. The Sociology Program aims to train specialist sociologists for the labor force needs of the regional and national market. The department offers high-quality education with experienced academic staff who have carried out studies both in Turkey and prestigious universities in the world.
