ZBCS MISSION AND VALUES “To form Christian servants capable of organizing churches, carrying out effective ministry and faithfully testifying of Jesus Christ throughout Ukraine.” At all times the Church has needed qualified and consecrated servants. And when, at the beginning of the 1990s, the doors for the preaching of God’s Word were opened, the Lord blessed our union of churches in a special way with new institutions of spiritual learning. Among these was Zaporozhye Bible College and Seminary. ZBCS is a member of the Euro-Asian Accreditation Association (EAAA), offering accredited academic programs. ZBCS is a spiritual institution of higher education, providing not only theoretical knowledge—in theology and such areas as English, ancient Greek and Hebrew, along with the student’s chosen major—but also trains in the effective application of the acquired knowledge in practical ministry. This is achieved thanks to the ZBCS superlative teaching faculty. ZBCS teachers and professors enjoy an authority deriving from their own education in the finest spiritual-academic institutions and, also, their many years of practical experience in the ministries of local churches. Therefore, the education of dedicated brothers and sisters at this college constitutes a true blessing to the churches. In the past 22 years the college has prepared and sent out over 800 students. They go on to practice the words of the apostle Paul, which are also the college’s motto, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Тим. 2:2, NIV). Today the majority of our graduates are ministering in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and the Baltic countries. They serve as church pastors, preachers, Sunday School teachers, choir directors, youth ministry directors, leaders of clubs for children and adolescents, missionaries, and seminary teachers.
