This area of emphasis represents the core courses for students who want to explore a broad area of courses in the Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Students will develop an appreciation and understanding of the scientific method and an understanding of the relationships between science and other human activities. Students who would like to earn an associate degree and transfer to a university bachelor program can achieve this goal with early educational planning. However, earning an associate degree is not required to transfer.
