Watkins two-year Master of Fine Arts in Film immerses you in the narrative storytelling experience. Our flexible curriculum gives you the opportunity to: reflect on and deepen formal, conceptual, and contextual aspects of your artistic practice develop advanced skills in producing, directing, cinematography, screenwriting, and editing collaborate with professional filmmakers and classmates on narrative and non-narrative (documentary, experimental, thematic) film projects assemble a professional body of work, such as video reels or screenplays, that represents your aesthetic point of view and technical capabilities Flexible schedule We’ve designed our film MFA to accommodate working professionals. When you start the program, you’ll take core courses during evenings and weekends. As you progress through the program, you will take electives and pursue independent study and internships during weekdays and summers. You also will have the opportunity to undertake an independent feature or series project.
