About the university
It was founded in November 1952 by Prof. Fernando Badias Gantus. In its beginnings in this institute offered studies that at that time were known like commercial races, like for example, Secretary of Commerce, Private Accountant and Auditor, all these directed to the areas of accounting education or in the area of secretarial training. At first this prestigious school boasted with a unique trajectory in the specialty of these same ones, since its graduates once obtained the title they were placed immediately in high executive positions, preferably accounting. Such was the Institute's fame that its classrooms transported students not only from the city of Merida, but also from the interior of the state and even from other entities such as Campeche, Tabasco, Veracruz and Isla de Cozumel. It was here that the building began to function as a small boarding school, for those who were foreign students. Subsequently began to give in the afternoon a technical career that integrated the secondary level with the commercial career, lasting three years and over time, also created the career of Bilingual Secretary.
