About the university
The Samarkand branch of TUIT was organized on July 23, 2005. Since the 2014-2015 school year in the branch there are 2 faculties in which there are 8 departments. According to the Resolution No. 73 of March 27, 2014 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Samarkand branch of the TUIT is responsible for organizing and conducting refresher courses for working with computer equipment and the Internet system, for managers and specialists of state and economic management bodies, state authorities of Samarkand, Bukhara And Djizak regions. The "Programmer Training Center" and the "Electronic Government" Center have been established and are functioning in the branch. For the Samarkand branch of TUIT, six districts of the region have been assigned, with the introduction of information and communication technologies, and 12 software products for enterprises of state and economic management have been entrusted.
