About the university
The National University was established by virtue of the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (3) of 1994 issued on 12/1/1994. The name of the university was changed to the National University at the request of the university under the decision of the Prime Minister, the President of the Supreme Council of Universities and the Minister of Education, 558) of 1996, issued on 21/7/1996. The National University is a working member of the Union of Arab Universities, a member of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, a member of the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World and has agreements of cooperation and academic relations with a number of prestigious universities. To establish a private university and its branches in the province and to finance and manage its affairs under the name of the National University. To support the educational scientific process through the creation and investment of multi-purpose facilities within or outside the campus to serve and finance educational institutions
