About the university
With the aim of approaching the creation of the Higher Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations (CIS), located in Talatona, Luanda Sul (Angola), we present here a brief reconstruction of the history of the emergence of the institution and the construction of its physical space, Which began in 2007 and is expected to continue the expansion of its physical facilities in the coming years. The Institution's design was based on the following aspirations: A) Treatment of the Social Sciences in a perspective of unity and integration; B) To focus, as a basis for analysis and research, the problem of Sub-Saharan Africa. Thus, they are fundamental vectors of work: The. Interdisciplinarity; B. The more specialized treatment of strategic issues, focusing on development approaches from a macro perspective. In 2008, CIS began its academic activities with courses in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations and Economics. In 2009, he started the Sociology course and in 2011 the Psychology Undergraduate course was implemented with the aspects of School Psychology and Organizational / Work Psychology. In 2012 was implemented the course of Clinical Psychology.
