About the university
Meeting the requirements of the time in 1992 by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia the republican aero club and the “Arzni” airport passed under the subordination of the Ministry of Defense, which in order to train aviation specialists necessary for the Armenian Armed Forces, by the order of the Defense Minister, on April 1, 1993 was reestablished as ARM MoD Military Aviation Center and became Armenia’s first military educational establishment. By the decision N447 of the ARM Government and the mediation of the Minister of Defense on September 20, 1994, the Center was given a status of secondary professional educational institution, with a name of Military-Aviation Flight-Technical College (3-years education).
