Founded in 1964, Royal University of Agriculture is a for-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large city of Phnom Penh (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia, Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) is a very small (enrollment range: 250-499 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 53 years old H.E. institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Cambodian higher education organization a least selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. RUA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sport facilities and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
