The Official University of Ruwenzori is a Higher Education and University Institution initiated by Professor BBEMO MUSUBAHO MUTATSAPA BAUDOUIN in 1999. This state of insecurity has prevented young graduates of the country from pursuing higher and university studies in official institutions such as the University of Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, Kisangani University, In the Oriental Province, and the University of Kinshasa, in the Capital of the Republic. In order to cope with the inadequacy of public and higher education institutions and to meet the high demand for education of young government graduates in the Lubero and Beni territories, Professor BBEMO MUSUBAHO MUTATSAPA Baudouin Initiated the project for the erection of an institution of Higher Education and University to serve the two territories mentioned above. It was necessary for the illustrious initiator to present the project of the Establishment to the administration of the rebellion which was enthroned in the North of the Province of North Kivu, namely the Congolese Rally for Democracy, Kisangani wing, called the Movement of Release, RCD / K.M.L.
