About the university
The Polytechnic of Rijeka was founded on the basis of the Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Croatia in 1998. During its work, the Polytechnic of Rijeka has grown into a modern university with advanced study programs designed and designed in accordance with the needs of high-skilled staff characterizing our region. For this purpose, nine professional studies and five specialist graduate professional studies are currently being carried out. The most important goal is to train students for fast inclusion in work processes. The studies are conducted at the headquarters of the Polytechnic of Rijeka and at three external locations in neighboring counties. Polytechnic continues to work on developing its programs, as well as developing new ones according to the requirements of the environment. Since 2005, successful transformation of study programs has been carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Declaration according to model 3 + 2. It achieves high educational outcomes, thanks to the good working conditions of the Polytechnics and local employers and businesses created so far, as evidenced by the data on the rapid employment of our graduates.
