Founded in 1998, Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina (Latin American School of Medicine) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the medium-sized city La Habana (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Ciudad de la Habana. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministerio de Salud Pública, Cuba (Ministry of Public Health, Cuba), Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina (ELAM) is a coeducational higher education institution. Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina (ELAM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. ELAM also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
