College of European and Regional Studies, the first and largest private university in the South Region, was established on April 3, 2001 as a public benefit corporation. After two years of effort by decision of the Accreditation Commission received approval from the state school and began its work. Significant expansion of the scope VŠERS happened to open its branch in Pribram. On 26 May 2004, at the ceremonial meeting of the city council signed a Memorandum of action in schools.
