About the university
The Alberto Masferrer University was founded on November 24, 1979 by a visionary group of professionals in different areas, being the first private university to enter the health area, with careers such as Dental Surgery, Medicine and Surgery and Chemistry And Pharmacy-Biology among others. At that time the facilities of the institution were in various places. The administrative offices were located in the Building 2000 of Boulevard de Los Héroes, and the premises for classrooms in facilities in the Government Center and Calle Rubén Darío. Dental Clinics for students' practices were in the disappeared Rubén Darío Building. In the Valley of Zapotitán the university has an Experimental Field for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science in a field of 13 blocks extension for student practices. Health clinics and legal assistance for the care of the inhabitants of the area are also located in this field. In recognition of its academic quality, the Salvadoran University "Alberto Masferrer" received the Institutional Accreditation in 2004 from the Ministry of Education, thus corroborating the high quality of the institution's teaching and its processes.
