About the university
The University "Dr. Andrés Bello ", receives its authorization, to operate as a higher level institution on December 20, 1990, according to agreement No. 6183, with that agreement the statutes of the UNAB are approved by the MINED and these have validity to date. The statutes that govern the work of the institution were prepared and submitted to MINED for approval. These were approved by agreement No. 6183, dated December 20, 1990, in Official Gazette No. 39, Volume No.310 of February 1, 1991. This was how Dr. HC and Lic. Escobar appointed at that time the authorities and officials who will govern the operation of UNAB based on the requirements of the Statutes and the Law of Higher Education. The UNAB began its operation on February 1, 1991 at 49 Av. Sur No. 753, Col. Flor Blanca, San Salvador. Currently UNAB has student coverage of training opportunities for interested people, UNAB decides to bring its educational services closer together and creates some regional centers in different development points in the country such as San Miguel, Sonsonate and Chalatenango, counting on 4 Campus throughout the country and with more than 25 races.
