About the university
The educational process of the Technological Institute of Usulután (ITU) began on February 15, 1982, offering young graduates of that time two options to pursue higher education in technology, Agricultural Engineering Technician, Fitotecnia and Technical option in Social Work, later joined the careers of: Agricultural Production Engineering, Phytotechnics, Teacher training in teaching levels I-II and III in the following specialties: Basic education, humanities, science, school administration, education sciences, technical In business administration, and veterinary technician, and it is from 1,991 that the technical career in Computer Engineering is implemented. In March of 1999 the ITU was administered by the Foundation of Former Students of the Industrial Technological Institute, FUNDAITI, under an agreement signed in the Ministry of Education MINED and the Technological Institute of Usulután. The Technological maintains its condition of state, with private administration, since the MINED subsidizes the budget for its operation.
