University of Sonsonate

The University began its academic activities at the Colegio Centro América on March 7, 1982, with 286 students divided into two Departments of Engineering and Natural Sciences and Economics and Social Sciences, with the following degrees: Faculty of Biology and Chemistry , In Letters, in Physics and Mathematics; Degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Economics, Public Accountancy, Education, Legal Sciences; Industrial, Electrical and Civil Engineering. Throughout its existence, the University has fulfilled the mission of delivering to Salvadoran society, highly qualified professionals who have excelled in different areas and currently hold senior positions in service institutions, commerce and industry; Others, have become a generator of knowledge, becoming "teachers in their specialty" and in the faculty of the University. Up to 2003, 1008 students have graduated. It has been approved by the Ministry of Education under Executive Agreement No. 15-0009 of January 06, 2004 and published in the Official Gazette No. 362 on February 20, 2004. All this history has allowed us to become the pioneers Of University Education in the department of Sonsonate; And the continuous search for excellence and daily work to achieve it, does not strengthen and allows us to position ourselves among the best and largest of the University Centers of the West.
