Established in 1962, Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Ruhr University Bochum) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the small city Bochum (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North Rhine-Westphalia. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft und Forschung des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia), Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) is a very large (enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Ruhr University Bochum has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
