About the university
The Macromedia University of Applied Sciences (formerly MHMK, University of Media and Communication) is a private, state-recognized university of applied sciences , based in Munich, founded in 2006 . It is a facility of Macromedia GmbH, which is owned by 80% of Galileo Global Education and 20% by Herbert Schmid-Eickhoff. With the former software company Macromedia , it has only the name in common. With more than 2,000 students and approximately 80 professors, the Macromedia University is the largest German private college for media, management and communication. Study sites are Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin and Milan. Macromedia University is a member of the MedienCampus Bayern , the umbrella organization for media education and further education in Bavaria, and has been a member of the international film college school CILECT since May 2012 . All study courses have been accredited by FIBAA agency, in addition, the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences received the institutional accreditation by the German Federal Government's Scientific Council in 2011, and the quality seal of the Bavarian Media Campaign in 2014.
