College of Informatics and Computer Management

History began in 1992, when Yayasan Bina Pertiwi Medan established a computer education course institute by the name of IMC. IMC at that time held a training / computer course with a period of 3, 4, and 6 months. With a satisfactory service and supported by qualified human resources, IMC is well known and in demand by the people of North Sumatra so that the institution is growing rapidly. Seeing the many interests of the people of North Sumatra, especially the people of Medan City to get training in IMC and supported by the rapid development of information technology, then on 20 March 1994 IMC was upgraded to Diploma 1 (D-1) education program under the name Microskills. Microskills collaborates with Microskills Singapore, the National Computing Center (NCC) and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) United Kingdom, in the field of computer science education, accounting, management, taxation, and secretarial. The existence of Microskills was quite a lot of greeting and support from people who are interested in deepening information technology. This can be seen from the increase in the number of students from year to year and the demand for Microskills graduates from companies. A positive response to Microskills encouraged the leadership of Microskills and Yayasan Bina Pertiwi Medan to re-upgrade this institution to High School. On August 1, 1997, Microskills was upgraded to College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK) Mikroskil by Decree of Education Minister no. 45 / D / O / 1997. In the beginning, STMIK Mikroskil opened undergraduate program (S-1) of Informatics Engineering and Diploma 3 (D-3) Program of Information Management and Computerized Accounting, in addition to the pre-existing D-1 program. In 2000, STMIK Mikroskil opened an undergraduate program (S-1) Information System. In the effort to improve the quality as well as the educational benchmarks that have been implemented, in 2002, STMIK Mikroskil applied for accreditation to the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), and in that year all Department / Study Program has been "Accredited". Achievement for achievement is achieved STMIK Mikroskil, both in academic and nonakademik at local, provincial, national, and ASEAN level. Armed with the achievements, experience, and the many proposals of the business world will be a graduate of Mikroskil in the economic field, the Foundation Bina Pertiwi Medan in 2008 established a new college of High School of Economics (STIE) Mikroskil . In 2013, STIE Mikroskil made Accreditation to BAN-PT for all existing study programs, and in that year all the existing courses have been "Accredited". It is not easy to be complacent and aware that improvements in quality and benchmarks should always be done consistently, Then STMIK and STIE Mikroskil always do Re-Accreditation to BAN-PT for study program with validity period Accreditation Certificate will be over soon. Institutional accreditation is also conducted by STMIK Mikroskil in 2015, and as a result, STMIK Mikroskil is declared "Accredited" at Institution level by BAN-PT based on decision No. 0576 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / PT / V / 2016 with Rank "B" .
