About the university
Surya University is an Indonesian private university that was founded in 2013 by the educational leader and physicist Prof. Yohanes Surya, Ph.D.[1] Temporary campus was built in the area Scientia Garden, Gading Serpong, Tangerang - Banten. The university was officially established by the Minister of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia 07/E/O/2013 issued on January 10, 2013. The University has 3 faculties and 10 departments. The university is supported by top faculty members who obtained their Ph.D. titles from various prestigious international universities; as well as by winners of international physics, chemistry, and biology Olympiads; practitioners in agribusiness, economy, renewable energy, biotechnology, neuroscience, and ICT. With a vision to be a world-class research-based university, Surya University has established more than 79 research centers that will teach students to become great scientists of the future. Mission: Organizing advanced research-based higher education using the ultimate learning technology. Developing basic and applied research leading to the creation and invention of advanced technology and science. Utilize and empower local potentials with appropriate technologies to improve the quality of life of the community on an ongoing basis.
