About the university
The embryo of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University was established since 1984 with the opening of Tarbiyah High School (STIT) which was then officially established in 1987. In 1987 it was also founded College of Agricultural Sciences (STIPER) and College of Informatics and Computer Engineering (STIMIK ). While the School of Economics (STIE) and the College of Social and Political Science (STISIP) was established in 1994. In 2001 all the schools have joined the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, which now has five faculties, 14 Departments / Study Programs Strata 1 (S1), two D3 programs (Informatics and Finance Banking), two D2 programs (PGTK and Arabic Language Education), Program Deed IV (General and Religious Concentration), and postgraduate programs. Other than that, In the span of thirteen years, the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo has experienced significant development, both in improving the status of majors, administrative improvements, the addition of physical facilities and infrastructure and campus facilities, as well as improving the quality of academic staff.
