University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak

Muhammadiyah University of Pontianak was established on July 2, 1991 based on the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs No. RI. 125 years 1991 by Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah initiated by the Regional Leadership Muhammadiyah West Kalimantan. With one faculty in it is the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI). At that time, FAI has only one department namely Islamic Religious Education with registered status. Since its establishment, FAI has been improving itself so that it develops rapidly. In 2002, FAI developed itself by opening the Secondary Education Diploma Program (D2) Teacher Education Kindergarten (PGTKI). However, since the enactment of the provisions of the Law on Teachers and Lecturers, this Study program has become the First Teacher Education Program (S1) of Teacher Education for Early Childhood Education (PG PAUD) under the guidance of FKIP. Currently, FAI Muhammadiyah University of Pontianak has a religious education program that is S1 Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on the Decree of Directorate General of Islamic Education Number 503 Year 2012. Since 2006, Prodi PAI FAI UM.Pontianak Pontianak has been accredited B and in 2012 has been re-accreditation With the same value based on the Decree of BAN PT Number 049 / BAN-PT / Ak-XIV / S1 / I / 2012. B value when it becomes special because there is no PTAIS that has accredited program B let alone A. Currently in 2017 Prodi PAI Faculty of Islamic Studies UM. Pontianak again filed for Accreditation and on March 21, 2017 again achieved accreditation B with a value of 351 based on the decision of BAN-PT No.0816 / SK / BAN-PT.Akred / S / III / 2017.
