Lutheran College University (Lutheran College English Lutheran College) is a private university in Japan headquartered in Otawa 3-10-20, Mitaka-shi, Tokyo. It was installed in 1964.The educational purpose is "to train advanced experts in mind, welfare and soul." The school name "Luther" comes from Martin Luther, the central figure of religious reform. On the fence of the eastern gate of the university is written in German, the word of Luther "not for himself, but for the sake of life living for his neighbor, the blessing of God". Japan Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Japanese Lutheran Church are the founders of the founding and a Japanese Lutheran Theological Seminary, a seminary to train pastors of both cultures, is located. It is a sister school relationship with Kyushu Lutheran College College in Kumamoto.
