Yamaguchi University of Human Welfare and Culture (山口福祉文化大学 Yamaguchi fukushi bunka daigaku?) is a private university in Hagi, Yamaguchi, Japan. The school was first established as a junior women's college in 1967. It became a co-ed four-year college in 1999. History and tradition are very important to the town of Hagi. Matsushita village school of Professor Yoshida Matsui is a great proud of Hagi because the young man who learned it accomplished the biggest reform in the past history of Japan called Meiji Restoration. The name of Okinikan Kan University is gotten from "It is not something that has not been moved sincerely" which was also the motto of Mr. Yoshida Matsue in his motto. Sincerity means very honest. Following the teaching of Professor Matsui who taught the importance of learning and acting with high purpose consciousness, respecting personality in this town of Hagi more than a century ago, at our university each student set a way of living, We aim to educate to develop the ability to realize future objectives.
