About the university
SKMA the first of six medical and pharmaceutical high schools of Kazakhstan has received the certificate on accreditation as the subject of intellectual activity. This allows the Academy to take part in competitions for scientific and technical research at the expense of the state budget. Since 2012, the faculty has been involved in proactive scientific and technical projects that have passed state registration in accordance with the requirements of the current regulatory and technical documentation and approved by the National Center for Scientific and Technical Information. In SKSPA, for 2017 there are 24 initiative scientific and technical projects. Since 2013, SKMA has a research laboratory for "Genomic Research" on the basis of the Department of Biochemistry, Biology and Microbiology.
