About the university
Ajou University (Ajou University) is a four-year private university located at 206 in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. In 1972, the school corporation Yushin Academy was established by Park Chang-Won, the president of Korea in 1971, for the implementation of the Agreement on the Establishment of Korea-France Technical College. In 1973, the prefecture of Aju University, "Ajou Industrial Beginning University" (Electronics Engineering, Precision Mechanical Engineering, Fermentation Chemical Engineering, Industrial Business Administration) was established. The very first grade industrial university was promoted to the very technical college the following year. In 1977, Kim Woo-jung of Daewoo Group (then Daewoo Univ.) Established Daewoo Academy, a school corporation, and acquired Ajou University. In 1981, it was promoted to universities with engineering colleges, business colleges, universities with humanities and social sciences and graduate schools, and changed its name to Ajou University.
