About the university
Daegu Catholic University is a private comprehensive university located in Jungsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Jungang-gu and Daegu in Namgu. It was founded in 1914 by Saint-Yustino Seminary, which was established for the training of priests. In 2014, it celebrated its 100th anniversary. The English abbreviation is DCU, and the abbreviation of Daegu Catholic University. The original English name was Catholic University of Daegu, but the English name was officially changed in April 2017.
