About the university
DIMA’s education is practical, making our students shining stars in the field. DIMA is Korea’s only institution specializing in media and arts. In 2013, DIMA was designated as a World Class College, or WCC, by the Ministry of Education. Starting as an institution specializing in media in 1997, DIMA is now Korea’s best institution specializing in media and arts. Achieving this status was possible thanks to our efforts to keep up with the rapidly-changing broadcasting environment and the wave of changes in the concepts of art. In this era of media and art culture, DIMA is dedicated to nurturing our students to be ‘shining stars’ in the field. To this end, we have the best broadcasting equipment and facilities and prominent professors who have accumulated their know-how in the fi eld of media and arts. Also, we abide by the guidelines of the government’s NCS education system, which focuses on a more hands-on approach, more closely related to the actual day-to-day work students can expect after graduation. Our time requires aneducation which provides practical techniques because sometimes theoretical knowledge itself is not enough to survive. With this educational goal in mind, we will continue to put every effort forth to nurture global professionals in media and arts and provide a truly high quality education. At the same time, DIMA will continue to work hard to become a toptier college full of dreams and talent!
