About the university
Sogang University is a Republic of Korea Seoul Mapo in private colleges is. It is an educational institution established by the Jesuits based on the educational spirit of Korea based on the Catholic faith and Jesuit educational philosophy . The campus spans Sinsu - dong and Daeheung - dong , Mapo - gu , Seoul , and belongs to Daeheung - dong as an administrative agency. The 15th president appointed in December 2016 is Park Jong-gu . The lesson is obedience to the truth ( Latin : Obedire Veritati ). The symbolic animal is Albatross (Albatross), and the map is based on "Shields". The scarlet color of "Shield" is determined by the color of Sogang University's school colors, symbolizing loyalty and victory. The triangle silver triangle in the center is the first sign of the "Sogang", "ㅅ" and represents the strong spirit of the Sogang's intellect. The IHS, written on the head, is a Greek letter that re-Latinizes the monogram of ΙΗΣΟΥΣ (Jesus).
