About the university
The name change to Kosin University in 1993 reflects the significant progress made in becoming a comprehensive, Christian university, equipping leaders for the church, for Korea and for the world, leaders who have been trained using principles based on the Old and New Testaments and on Christian worldview. Korean Christians acknowledge their indebtedness to missionary endeavors in establishing the strong church that exists in Korea, today. Reflecting this deep felt gratitude, Kosin University has reached out to other nations of the world by inaugurating, in 2007, English and Chinese language postgraduate programs for students from countries where Christianity is not well established and for whom financial considerations are a deterrent to further study. This is a true reflection of the basic principals of the founders expressed in a relevant way in the 21st century.
