About the university
In 2009, we opened a Vatel School in Mauritius with the aim of making it a regional training centre. After 5 years our school has become the benchmark in hospitality management in the Indian Ocean and is a centre of excellence for hospitality training. To achieve this goal we simply applied the formula set up for over thirty years by the founder of Vatel group, Mr Sebban: a subtle balance between theory and practice, the foundation of the Vatel Spirit. Theoretical courses are taught in Mauritius by diverse and highly qualified teachers. The best academic and private sector trainers were sought and they all helped to provide quality education. Coming from the four corners of the globe, they contribute to interculturality that characterises the daily life of Mauritius. New => International students in Mauritius can now be granted: o 20-hour per week work permit o A 10-year renewable young professional occupation permit upon graduation.
