About the university
The University System USAM - UTAC took office in 1992 with the creation of one of the first private Universities of our State, San Marcos University campus Tuxtla Gutierrez. The project called San Marcos University began as a concern of Dr. José Guadalupe Méndez Toscano Teacher with more than 40 years in the educational field. Since its inception, the USAM - UTAC system has made a great difference in the university environment since it has been the only system that truly fosters moral and ethical values through its educational philosophy. Currently there are three university campuses, Tuxtla, San Cristóbal and Tapachula. Thanks to the educational quality our system continues to grow. Due to the acceptance will soon open other campuses inside and outside our State.
