About the university
Academy “Stefan cel Mare” of the Republic of Moldova is an accredited public institution of higher education which organizes development and training of police staff at three levels and stages of education: Bachelor's degree (cycle I), Master's degree (cycle II) and Doctor’s degree. Faculty of Police Sciences organizes bachelor's degree studies (cycle I) and master's degree studies (cycle II) for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other beneficiaries. Within undergraduate studies, Faculty trains officers, according to the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and on the basis of the formative command/graduate professional profile conducted by beneficiaries, in the following areas of study: a) General field of study “Law”, professional training field “Law”, specialties “Law” and “Law. Border security” (term of training – 4 years); b) General field of study “Protection, safety and security”, professional training field “Protection, safety and security”, specialty “Civil Security and public order” (term of training – 3 years). Master's degree is organized in the field of general study “Law” (term of training – 1.5 years and 2 years respectively, depending on the general field of study).
