About the university
The Slavic University of Moldova was conceived as an educational institution designed to promote the realization of the constitutional right of citizens of the Republic, in particular the Russian-speaking population, to receive education in their native language. The Slavic University was opened in 1997 under the license of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Moldova (Series 97, No. 0087) with the support and assistance of a number of public organizations (the Russian Community of the Republic of Moldova, the Association of Slavic Educational Institutions, the Moldovan Society of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature, ).
