Lúrio University

University of Lúrio (UniLúrio) is a public institution of higher education, headquartered in Nampula, Mozambique. It was established by presidential decree on December 26 in 2006. The University of Lúrio was created by Decree No. 50/2006 of December 26, published in the Official Gazette No. 52, the first series, the second Addendum and officially opened on June 29, 2007 by the President of Mozambique, Armando Emilio Gebuza. In 2007, the University established its parish home in Nampula, borrowing funds from the Museum of Ethnology of Mozambique (Mushec), and thus became the first public university in the history of Mozambique to be established with the rector, established outside the city of Maputo. As part of its installation, UniLúrio held its first meeting of the University Council on August 21, 2007. This session identified key aspects of their work, such as your vision, your mission, your motto, your structure and its abbreviation. In this first session of the Board of the UniLúrio University of Life History, he was also presented with the University logo, as a result of a competition under the auspices of Eduardo Mondlain University, through the School of Architecture and Physical Planning, together with the students of this college.
