About the university
Established in 1976 the College offers all round total quality teaching, research and public service for the production of highly motivated and skilled teachers for primary and junior secondary schools and ultimately senior secondary schools in Nigeria. The Federal College of Education, Abeokuta provides three year full time and five year sandwich courses respectively leading to the Award of the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE). The College is an autonomous public institution charged with responsibility of providing liberal higher education and encouraging the advancement of learning throughout Nigeria.
