About the university
The Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, Rivers State of Nigeria is one of the Federal Colleges of Education (Technical) established by Act No. 4 of 1986 of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Act No.6 of 1993 amended the Act. The highlight of the amendment is the appointment of Principal Officers by tenure. The objectives for establishing the College are as follows: a) To meet the challenges of national self-reliance in the local production of technology teachers to teach technical, vocational, science, and business subjects/courses in vocational training centres, secondary, and technical colleges.
