About the university
FIH wishes to equip people to Christian preaching, dissemination and mission, cultural and religious meetings and value-based social commitment and leadership. The primary activity of the school is to disseminate and develop knowledge, skills and general competence within its business areas based on Christian reality understanding, Christianity and Christian values. The school was established in 1898 at Framnes in Hardanger and moved in 1913 to the farm Fjellhaug in Østre Aker. From 1 January 2011, the school changed its name from Fjellhaug Missionary College to Fjellhaug International College. The school is owned by the Norwegian Lutheran Mission. At Fjellhaug it has been run both missionary school, Bible school, youth school and trade school. Today, the missionary school and Bible school are still in operation.
