About the university
Høgskulen for agriculture and rural development is a private college that offers college studies and conducts research and development particularly in agriculture and industry and rural development. The college is located in Rogaland Agricultural Park on Særheim in Klepp municipality , and was started in 2001 under the name Høgskulen in Jæren . School is organized as a bazaar, and is owned by the public bodies in the region as well as by companies and organizations in the agricultural sector, both locally and regionally. HLB's vision is to be a key supplier of knowledge for living and vigorous rural communities. From 2010, offered the school the country's only Bachelor degree in rural development, which in 2015 changed its name to Bachelor of innovation and development. HLB has more than 100 different owners, ranging from regional development groups, small business and a vast array of Norwegian farming organizations.
