About the university
Tadeusz Rydzyk CSsR, Director of Radio Maryja and Founder of TV "TRWAM" is the founder of the School. At the beginning of its activity, the school was teaching in the specialties of "social policy" and "media culture". Decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport No DSW-3-JP-4003-400 / 05 of 25.03.2005r. The specialty of "social policy" has been prepared for the direction of "political science", while the specialty "media culture" towards the direction of "journalism and social communication." These are undergraduate (1st degree). In the academic year 2005/2006 the State Accreditation Commission assessed the quality of education in the field of "political science" and "journalism and social communication" at the level of first cycle studies and issued a positive assessment. As a result, the WSKSiM has made efforts to conduct a second degree (complementary MA) course in the field of "political science". On September 26, 2006, the Minister of Science and Higher Education awarded the Faculty of Social and Media Studies the right to pursue studies in the second degree in political science.
