Economic-Social Higher School in Ostroleka

The Ostrołęcki Movement of Entrepreneurship was launched in 2002 by the Ostrołęka Association of Entrepreneurship. This initiative was supported by the local authorities and business circles of Ostrołęka and the region. Establishment of a higher education college with an economic profile was provided in the development of the Ostrołęka Development Strategy 2000-2010. The Higher School of Economics and Social Sciences in Ostrołęka was established on the basis of the Act of 26 June 1997 on higher vocational schools (Journal of Laws No. 150, item 1239) by the decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport DSW-3-4001-899 / JP / 02 of 18.08.2002 On 4 September 2002 the decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport No. DSW-3-4001-961 / JG / 02 was registered in the register of non-state vocational schools under the number 107. The university started its activity in September 2002, inaugurating higher education vocational training in the specialty of "enterprise management" in the stationary and non-stationary system. On the basis of the Act of 27 July 2002 on amending the Higher Education Act and the Act of 26 June 1997 on higher vocational schools (Journal of Laws No. 150, item 1239), the decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport No. DSW-3- 4003-451 / IW / 04 of 14 July 2004 assigned the specialization "business management" to the direction of "management and marketing".
