About the university
The beginnings of the Air Force Institute of Technology dates back to the early years of the reborn after years of captivity of the Second Republic. 28th November 1918. Was appointed Section Navigation The overhead subordinated to the Ministry of Military Affairs (MSWojsk.). As part of the Section, December 20, 1918., Formed the nucleus of research and technical facility called. Department of Science and the Technical y, soon renamed the Department . The first seat was the Department of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Extending technical tasks meant that under the order of organization of Branch and General Staff on November 11, 1921. Department of Science and Technology has been transformed into the Military Headquarters Aerospace Research (WCBL) . The main tasks of the study was WCBL aircraft equipment, aircraft from the factory reception and technical supervision of production.
