Specializations offered: Monitoring and Environment Management Geoecology Physico-chemical Methods in Environmental Protection Modern Instrumental Methods in Environmental Protection This Master’s degree curriculum is focused on preparation of diploma thesis based on a specialization-related research project. The student, led by a supervisor, learns how to assess and possibly solve detailed problem concerning condition, risks and protection of the environment. Master’s research project is consistent with scientific interest of a department chosen by the student in a frame of specialisation. Under supervisor tuition the student building competence in asking scientific questions and finding solutions of various problems linked with biotechnology of plants and environmental biotechnology and actively participates in the development of science. Moreover he/she conducts highly profiled specialisation workshops and seminars during the first and the second year of the study. Students acquire necessary skills at modeling of natural processes and the use of statistical methods in natural sciences. The methods are used during the planning and realization of their own MSc project, conforming the rules of bioethics and environmental ethics.
