After the first semester of studies, students undergo compulsory internships (60 hours). Classes are conducted by employees of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and the Institute of Physics of the University of Silesia, as well as the Medical University of Silesia, and the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, Branch in Gliwice. The learning outcomes of medical physics differ from the profile of the graduate of physics and technical physics with the major of medical physics in terms of a broader preparation in the field of biological, medical and legal sciences with simultaneous deepening of physical and mathematical knowledge in terms of biomedical sciences. The graduate is prepared to continue the education process at the doctoral school (third-cycle studies).
